On 9 September there was an opening of the oil refinery plant in Kara-Balta with the participation of the Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan Temir Sariyev and the Chairman of the Chinese Development Bank Khua Vei according to the Neft Rossii.

The first oil refinery in Kyrgyzstan has a name of “Djunda”. Plant construction costs are estimated at 300 million dollars. It is assumed that each year the plant will process 800 million tons of crude oil, producing diesel oil, petrol AI-85, AI-92, AI-97, as well as liquefied natural gas. With the start of plant’s work at full capacity 65 % needs of Kyrgyzstan in fuel oil will be covered. The plant will have more than 1,000 employees; moreover, according to the information 2,000 people will be employed for various services of the plant, according to http://www.centrasia.ru.
